Where to Eat in Lima, Peru
Lima is widely considered one of the most dynamic capitals of gastronomy, due to a wide variety of crops grown in Peru combined with a fusion of Asian and Latin flavors. Here are a few of my favorites!
Incredible seafood restaurant, and the best ceviche I have ever had! Skip the menu and just ask the waiter to bring you whatever is fresh. Also try the arroz con pescados.
This is the place to go for pollos alla brasa, essentially Peruvian style rotisserie chicken. It's a convenient and affordable chain that does juicy, flavorful bird very well.
One of the higher end restaurants in the popular neighborhood of Miraflores that offers all of the traditional Peruvian dishes in a modern environment. If you are willing to take the risk, try some of the authentic dishes, like the blood egg rolls and the beef heart anticuchos.
Considered one of the most popular Chifa restaurants, chefs here combine Peruvian and Chinese flavors for delectable family style dishes. The fried rice with banana topped with fried eggs is a must.
